NSC - 4224 - Amphibious Warfare

Description

Historical survey of the projection of seapower ashore. The course defines the concept, explores its doctrinal origins and traces its evolution as an element of naval policy during the 20th century. The case study method is used alongside the theme of general historical continuity to develop an understanding of the relatively new and still maturing concept of amphibious warfare.
